Places have their own presence. It can be revealed in the way the land captures the light, the people moving through it, and in a feeling that lingers.

My travel and documentary work centers on place: its history, textures, and visible and invisible layers. I’m drawn to the marks of time, the impact of human presence, and the traces of the past embedded in what stands today.

Each image begins with a question:
What is unique about this place, and how can I capture it honestly?﻿
Each image is unique. Some speak loudly of the place. While other images share the landscape. ﻿

There is a particular presence that comes with time. It doesn’t perform. It simply exists. It's shaped by experience, resilience, loss, humor, memory, and change.

My portrait work is devoted exclusively to older adults. Beginning with the eyes and gentle questions, I search for the complexity and life experiences that cannot be staged. What matters is presence.

You may want to pose with an item of importance to you, such as a musical instruction, a piece of jewelry, or an award. We will talk about your options and what interests you before you sit for your portrait.

Senior Citizen Portraits

Photography session packages are tiered for a customized experience. All of the senior citizen portrait sessions occurring at my Larkspur, Colorado studio (excluding the basic session) include light refreshments and snacks.		﻿
Basic: 45-minute session at my Larkspur, Colorado studio*  $350.
Standard: 1 hour session at my Larkspur, Colorado studio*, or your location (within 45 minutes of Larkspur, Colorado) $400.
Premium: 2 hour session at my Larkspur, Colorado studio*, or your location (within 45 minutes of Larkspur, Colorado)  $600.﻿
Images are billed separately to accommodate the desires and needs of each client. Digital images fully edited and formatted for social media and printing are $10 each. Clients may also purchase prints through my online store.﻿
*A $50 travel fee is applied for any Colorado location that is further than 45 minutes away from Larkspur, Colorado. Travel expenses for locations outside of Colorado are negotiable.﻿
Please note: some popular photography locations require photographers to obtain a permit and pay a fee to use their locations. That cost is billed to the requesting customer.
